HALF THE SKY

In her photographic work, Floriane highlights women who carry the World. In a environment sometimes harsh, this serie put forward women who give a new dimension and humanity to space. Between tradition and modernity, in megacities or more remote areas where the photographer has been between 2010 and 2013, each of these individuals work to get out of themselves, sometimes in a perceptibly solitude. Each in her own way they try to assert their identities, enroll in their natural and social environment and exist for themselves and in the eyes of others.

Par son travail photographique, Floriane met en lumière des femmes qui portent le monde. Dans un environnement aux contours parfois durs et cassants, ces photographies montrent des femmes qui arrondissent l’espace et l’humanisent. Entre tradition et modernité, dans des mégalopoles ou des zones plus retirées où la photographe s’est rendue entre 2010 et 2013, chacune de ces femmes oeuvre pour sortir d’elle-même, parfois d’une solitude profonde perceptible dans certaines images. Chacune tente à sa manière d’affirmer son identité, de s’inscrire dans son environnement naturel et social et d’exister pour elle-même et dans le regard des autres.
